Context

Background

Framebridge was disrupting the custom framing industry by offering the ability to order custom frames online for the first time. Custom framing had previously been a grueling process of luging your sentimental art pieces to a shop only to be presented with incredibly high prices based on the materials you selected. Framebridge pricing was based purely on the size of the art that was being framed, giving our customers the ability to select from dozens of gorgeous styles at no additional cost.

Objectives

Our primary objective was to delight users with the ability to preview their art in many different frame options. We wanted to create an experience that was transparent and made users feel comfortable sending their valuable art to us through the mail. We also aimed to present our pricing structure as transparent and digestible as possible.

My Role

As the only designer on the team at the time, I led and executed designs from conceptualization to launch creating wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and all final deliverables.

  • Designed and developed the physical packaging and printed collateral coordinating with vendors to ensure the highest quality execution while managing production costs and margin.

  • Collaborated with product managers and developers in shaping all aspects of the look and feel of the desktop, mobile web, and iOS application experiences.

  • Coordinated with our in-house photographer to produce image assets required for each project providing creative direction and logistical support.
